Tips for reporting an auto incident

To report an auto incident
1. Call BKI immediately.
Please take down Incident Number   for future reference.
2. Provide details about
 
Vehicle registration number, make and color Insurance policy number
Driver’s contact number Location of incident scene or easy reference point
How incident takes place
3. Wait at incident scene and do as suggested by BKI Customer Service Representative.
4. Do not move your vehicle, with exception of
 
Action taken by Police Having strong evidence of incident
If vehicle is moved without your consent, inform BKI Customer Service Representative immediately.
5. Do not negotiate damages if you are not sure of the details of the incident.
6. If there is the injured at scene, get the insured to hospital and inform BKI Customer Service Representative.
7. Get your vehicle fixed at the garage of your choice.


If you are at fault
1. Do not flee the scene. If you do not remain at the scene, you may incur civil penalty.
2. Do not block the traffic.
3. If you see no immediate need for BKI to assist you at the scene, you should
 
Get an appointment with the other party.
Report the incident to BKI and write a memo with details of the incident for the other party. The other party can use this memo as evidence to claim damages from BKI or their insurer can proceed with the claim.
Supply “Crash & Claim Form” and report BKI to proceed.
The following details should be indicated in the incident memo:
1. Name and last name of party at fault.
2. Address and contact number
3. Date and place of incident
4. Registration number of both parties
5. Indication of fault with detail of the damage.
6. Signature of party at fault, with a witness. Name cards supplies must be signed.


If you are not at fault
1. Take down registration number and make of the other party and inform BKI.
2. Do not move your vehicle unless there is an evidence to support which party is at fault, for example a memo or Crash & Claim Form.
3. If the other party flee the scene, report the incident to the police. Details about the party at fault must be clear and ample.
4. In case of loss or damage to property in the vehicle, report the incident to the police. This is not covered by auto insurance.


To report injuries
1. Take the injured to the nearest hospital.

2. If the injured is taken to hospital by any other party or by themselves, make an appointment.
3. The other party has rights to be compensated under the compulsory auto insurance.
4. Receipts must be available for all medical payment.
